Proposed Activities: Touch Screen Kiosk: Further development of interface based on the feedback from exhibitions, fares & Shodhyatra is been done to meet with the need of the various stakeholders of the project. This will follows a initial testing by various stake holders on the new prototype touch screen, which might be up scalable after suitable design adjustments. Upscaling of "KnowNet-Grin" model: Electronic Knowledge network model tested through nodes placed in specific location in IIMA (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad) campus would be up scaled. First nodes of the network had been put up in Gujarat for testing. Development of Multimedia / Multilingual Database: Honey Bee collaborators in other Indian, spread across various states will be given the responsibility to convert the existing database in there own respective languages and English, and document the same in a specified format. Funds have been made available to two of these collaborators in Kannada & Tamil languages, there report have started to come. Documentation in multimedia is also being done as well as the Tamil translation. Multi-Lingual KnowNet-Grin Site: The site for KnowNet-Grin would be converted in other languages starting from Gujarati. Initially Hindi, Tamil, Kannada besides Gujarati would be taken up. Thus enabling information sharing in all languages. Stakeholders Meet: The project seeks to organize a stakeholders meet for testing of prototype and model network of "KnowNet-Grin" and discussing other aspects of information requirement in the rural areas. Interactive discussion groups are to formed to discuss problem and finalize problem solving mechanism.
